Dr. Thomas Lillie, B.Sc, DC, M.Sc, CSCS, ART®, FR, FRCms
Originally from Bracebridge, Ontario, Dr. Lillie attended the University of Western Ontario, where he graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Kinesiology. He then attended New York Chiropractic College, where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic and Master of Science in Applied Clinical Nutrition degrees with honors distinctions and served as his class valedictorian.
Dr. Lillie is certified as an Active Release Techniques credentialed provider and a Functional Range Release certified provider as well as a certified Graston Technique provider. These methods are extremely valuable in the treatment of muscle, tendon and ligament injuries. They are effective in the management of athletic injuries, repetitive strain injuries and chronic postural issues.
As a complement to his background in fitness and nutrition, Dr. Lillie is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist. He believes that nutrition and exercise along with manual therapy are the cornerstones of rehabilitation and recovery from injury.
In addition, Dr. Lillie is a Canadian Red Cross Certified First Responder, and has served as the head trainer for the Barrie Lakeshores Jr. A lacrosse team of the Ontario Jr. A Lacrosse League, as well as the Barrie Blizzard professional lacrosse team of the Canadian Lacrosse League. He has been a consultant to NHL, NLL, CIS, NCAA and Pan American athletes.
Dr. Lillie has been a faculty member at Georgian College since 2014, teaching classes in anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.
