Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy (IASTT)

IASTT is a treatment that uses stainless steel or plastic instruments to treat acute, chronic and post-surgical soft tissue injuries and scar tissue. 

Scar tissue/adhesions/fascial restrictions and tissue fibrosis can cause decreased range of motion, decreased force production and pain.
  
IASTT allows the provider to detect and treat scar tissue and other tissue restrictions that prevent the soft tissue structures of the body from functioning normally.  The skilled reduction of these restrictions can increase range of motion and local force production as well as decrease pain, nerve entrapments and other symptoms.
