Acupuncture is safe and effective in treating a variety of conditions. The most common conditions are pain, digestive issues, stress and anxiety, headaches and migraines, women’s health, infertility, and pregnancy and post-partum support.

Cupping is a technique that involves the use of small cups, made of either glass, plastic or silicone, and may be left in place or moved around. They function to create a suction when applied to the skin, which helps to stimulate blood flow, aid in lymphatic drainage, and smooth out any adhesions in the tissues. It is commonly used for pain, muscle tension, and digestive issues.

(Usually part of an acupuncture treatment)

Gua Sha is a technique using a soft edged tool to create red markings. It helps to reduce inflammation, swelling and tension, and increase blood circulation. It is most commonly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, sinus issues and respiratory conditions.
(Usually part of an acupuncture treatment)

Moxibustion is the application of heat by burning an herb called mugwort over the skin, with or without a needle. It functions by adding heat and is most commonly used for pain, digestive issues, fertility and menstrual issues.
(Usually part of an acupuncture treatment)

Tuina and Acupressure are a type of therapy similar to massage, which focus on promoting energy flow through the body. Acupuncture points or channels may be stimulated using different techniques using fingers, hands or elbows. Both are most commonly used to improve the overall treatment and to promote relaxation.
(Usually part of an acupuncture treatment or in place of needles)

Electro-Acupuncture is applied by first inserting needles into the body, then attaching clips to the needles where a small electrical charge is applied. It functions by stimulating the needles through electricity rather than by manual manipulation. It is most commonly used for joint or muscle issues, and as part of the protocol for labour induction.
